Rising-star author Shelby Westland has been an avid reader since the tender—and often complicated—age of thirteen, when she happened to pick up her very first romance novel at the school library during an English class reading hour. The novel: Divine Evil by Nora Roberts—the great Nora Roberts. And she’s been hopelessly hooked ever since.
Nearly a decade later, while attending university for her degree in Social Sciences and Psychology—which no doubt lends help with getting into the “heads” of her characters, and understanding that pesky thing called human nature, as well as that of the fickle heart—she at long last became inspired to write her very first romance novel, one that she could call her own. Thus, the courage stuck, and after countless hours of research, years of hard work, and an ample amount of blind dedication, the inspiration that struck her finally paid off. And she’s felt like a proud mama ever since. No matter what.
Miss Westland’s profound hope is to one day come full circle and be the author of the very first romance novel that another someone happens to pick up, perhaps memorably changing their lifepath forever as well.
